"The Spirit of ‘67, I think, is one of our best albums. Apparently Quentin Tarantino thought so too, as he included two of those singles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and gave the LP cover and vinyl a cameo." - Mark Lindsay, 2019
Paul Revere & The Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay were truly one of the greatest exponents of the sixties rock music scene. As one of Columbia Records' first rock signings in 1963 and the first rock group to earn a gold record for the label, for over a decade, there would be no turning back for this amazing band.
After many chart hits and several top selling albums, The Raiders rode to the top again with their fourth smash Lp "The Spirit of '67" The iconic album features several of their biggest hit singles like Good Thing, Hungry and The Great Airplane Strike.
This particular album has received much attention lately thanks to the Quentin Tarantino film "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood."
Mark Lindsay notes "The 'Spirit of ‘67' was the Raiders’ third gold album, and our first album to produce three hit singles. Terry Melcher and my collaboration was really rocking by this time, and the result was, I think, one of our best albums. Apparently Quentin Tarantino thought so too, as he included two of those singles 'Good Thing' and 'Hungry' in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', and gave the LP cover and vinyl a cameo."
