Franke Previte is no stranger to the hit music scene. In the seventies, his progressive hard rock band Bull Angus captivated many a concert goer and record buyer with many shows and credible recordings which brought him into the spotlight a few years later with Franke & The Knockouts.
The New Jersey/New York based rock band were soon discovered by the major labels, and hit their stride early on with a smash hit "Sweetheart" which was featured on their first self titled hit album "Franke & The Knockouts." After two more fine albums with "Below The Belt" and "Makin' The Point", Franke Previte took a break from The Knockouts and began to work on more side projects, as well as some theatrical and motion pictures, which led to the amazing "Dirty Dancing" movie, which featured two of his most famous songs "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life sung by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes, and "Hungry Eyes" performed by the late great Eric Carmen.
Both tunes went on to become two of the most successful songs of all time, which catapulted Franke Previte's brand of music to the top of the charts as well, now in circles that were only afforded to the major hitmakers. Both of these songs would be used in major motion pictures, advertisements, nationwide campaigns, etc.
